What the hekk is this?

Well... why do you look at me? What do I know?
I missed the old internet, found the indie web and discovering it like you too! And yeah this website is all about me and my hobbies, from the indie web itself to gaming, rock and metal music, languages whatever.

One thing that is maybe different is that I have have been working as a professional web dev for many years making boring corporate websites and later web applications. Now I am embracing this newfound space and rediscover what made me fall in love with the internet in the first place. And with this website I like to take things slow - slow but steady progress and tinkering and strictly no AI.

This is my first impromptu "post". Probably it will be turned into a proper blog down the road but right now I am writing this in a blank HTML page... on my phone! (I'll explain next time)

So I have been a professional web developer since 2014, and as of writing this post a lot of things have changed. Whereas I loved the internet growing up, now I fear it more than anything and I am worried where it all will lead.

I have heard about the indie web before but never really gave it a chance until now, even though I have been yearning for authentic internet experiences that actually bring me joy for too long.

Modern webdev has become so fast-paced and so automated I want to take a slow approach with this and I wanna relearn fun and unique design as opposed to the corporate designs I have worked on for years.
